Do Not Be Discouraged

When trials and temptations
                Come to darken your day,
Look up and trust the Master
                And He will make the way.

Do not be discouraged
                And do not be so blue,
God still sits upon His throne
                    And He still cares for you.

Though Satan comes to taunt you
                    And to down you if he can,
God's great big hand will guide you
                    And help you then to stand.

So do not be discouraged,
                  Look up and see the light;
It's always there before you
            A-shining in the night.

Take hold with renewed courage,
                    Hold on with all your might;
Our God will never fail you
                    Nor lose you from His sight.

Though dark may be the pathway
                    There is power to overcome;
For prayer doth bring the victory
                                Through the blood of God's dear son.
