Greetings Friends, Family and Supporters in Jesus' name!
Great things are happening in Mexico! We thank God for His guidance and blessings. We also thank you for your continued support and prayers for the people of Mexico. With God all things are possible!
On August 3-5, we were blessed to have a group of 30+ young people visit us from California. Elder and Sis. Phil White of Burbank and Pastor P.J. White of Rohnert Park brought some of their youth down for 3 busy and exciting days of conference, street services and outreach. It was great to have Sis. Kathy Clark from Ontario here also helping with the choir and music.
Many churches from different parts of Mexico were also with us for this powerful weekend.
The group was such a blessing; working in the altars, handing out fliers, singing, setting up equipment, preaching and they even did a puppet show! Thank you all for your sacrifice. You all were a tremendous example for our young people!
A dream is coming true! We have started our Christian school. Two of them, in fact. Because of the legal restrictions regarding churches and schools, we are not allowed to call it a school. So, it is an Education Help Center! However, whatever it is called, we have curriculum for K-9th.
Each of our students have a laptop and all the necessary items. Each day begins with prayer, a short Bible study and verse memorization. This month's theme is the Oneness of the Godhead. Then the students take 15 minutes to write their own copy of the Bible. We started with Acts.
We have begun with 6 students in our school and Elder Glen Wakefield has 7 in theirs. There are many more who participate if we had resources and the space for them.
The churches of Puebla would like to send a very big Thank You to Pastor Sailer and New Life Tabernacle of Coalinga, CA. Your sacrificial offering paved the way for this endeavor. Because of your generosity we were able to buy the laptops, filing cabinet, chairs, tables, printers, soccer balls and P.E. equipment, pay some tuition fees. projector and screen, wall maps...and many more essential items! You made this happen! We and the children are forever thankful.
We currently have some special needs for some urgent projects. With the school up and running it is abundantly clear that we need more room. We can build another floor on top of the current building. Here are the costs for that project.
Building materials- $4,200.00
Labor Costs- $3,000.00
Both churches are in need of some sound equipment. 2 mixers, 2 amplifiers and microphones. Thank you for your support. Pray for the Wakefields.
